Sober Sisterhood in Magical Lake Tahoe

Join us September 2–6, 2025 for a magical summer retreat on Tahoe’s east shore — famous for its cerulean-blue water, golden granite peaks, and laid-back mountain-town vibes. The only thing more magical than the lake views from our cabins will be the incredible women we get to share them with.

This retreat is packed with adventure: kayaking and paddleboarding on crystal clear water, a full pontoon day with unicorn floaties + music blasting, a 3-mile hike with EPIC lake views, morning cold plunges, and plenty of time to lounge on the beach or embark on a side quest along the shoreline.

And when we’re not out exploring? We’ll be grounding our hearts with yoga, bonding over fireside share circles, digging deep in workshops, and playing connection games that make us laugh while bringing us even closer.

If you’re craving bucket-list adventure and a transformational experience alongside a pack of uplifting, inspiring, semi-feral sober women… then this retreat is calling your name.

This Retreat is for You if:

  • You love being active and outdoors and feel most alive out in nature.
  • You’re craving sisterhood with like-minded sober misfits who laugh hard, feel deeply, and support each other fiercely.
  • You want a safe space to be open, honest, vulnerable, and completely yourself.
  • You're into personal development, inner growth, and talking about deep sh*t.
  • You're excited to participate in an active retreat at 6,500ft elevation with daily movement and lots of stairs (our location is nestled on a beautiful, steep hillside).
  • You're ready to contribute to creating a safe, judgement-free zone with respect for everyone's unique sobriety journey.
  • You want to create a sober life that feels so exciting and magical that your drinking days can't even COMPETE!

About Lake Tahoe

If Lake Tahoe isn’t already on your sober bucket list, add it TODAY! The lake sits at 6,225 feet and the water is so clear you can see up to 70 feet straight down (so when you're paddleboarding you're basically floating on liquid sapphire).

Tahoe straddles California and Nevada, and we'll be posted up REAL close to stateline! The lake itself is is over 2 million years old! She's witnessed centuries of human growth, healing, and existential crises so you’ll fit right in.

The water temp? CRISP year-round and perfect for morning cold plunges while screaming joyfully into the void with your new sober sisters.

Add in 360° lookout points, cinematic trails, healing mountain energy, and sunsets that make all your troubles melt away… and you’ve got the ultimate playground for adventure, connection, and pure magic.

Where We're Staying

We’ll be posted up in three historic cabins at a lakeside resort on Tahoe’s stunning east shore. This gated hideaway offers soul-soothing views and plenty to keep us exploring, connecting, and living our best sober lives.

Including outdoor games and activities, kayaks and paddleboards on the beach, firepits for our evening share circles, endless pockets of shoreline to wander, and a cozy café for mid-day treats.

Cabin amenities include:

  • Back decks with EPIC lake views — perfect for morning coffee, journaling session, or just staring at the water.
  • Living + dining areas for hanging out, connecting, and decompressing after big days
  • Fully equipped kitchens
  • Wi-Fi (cell services is great here)
  • Private resort beach access for our cold plunges and afternoon beach lounging

This Trip Gave Me Back my Sparkle!

I cannot say enough about how incredible this retreat was! From start to finish it was so well organized, making everything feel effortless and allowing us to truly enjoy every moment.

The setting in Lake Tahoe was breathtaking, but what really made this experience so special was the amazing group of women I met.

I’m certain I’ve made lifelong friends and found a support group that will stay with me for years to come.

Meeting Laura in real life was such a highlight—she’s every bit as funny, thoughtful, and genuine as I imagined, and being around her energy was such a gift. Having Rachael as a cohost offering yoga was an extra layer of magic. Her presence and practice made the retreat feel even more grounding and nourishing.

I honestly haven’t felt this happy, relaxed, and motivated in years. This trip gave me back my sparkle and filled me with excitement for my sober future. I’m so grateful for this unforgettable experience and cannot recommend it enough!

Unlike Anything I've Ever Experienced!

Just returned from the most incredible experience at Lake Tahoe with YSP Adventures, and my heart is so full. 💛

This retreat was not only superbly organized, but truly worth every single penny. I spent time with a group of inspiring, joyful, alcohol-free women who are truly living their best lives — and wow, did we laugh! 😄

We shared unforgettable moments outdoors, moved our bodies in empowering ways, and nourished ourselves with absolutely delicious, wholesome food. The connection, support, and authenticity I felt during this time was unlike anything I've ever experienced.

I walked away with beautiful memories, friendships, and a renewed sense of clarity and joy in my sobriety.

Summer Camp with New Best Friends!

The retreat surpassed my expectations and was worth every penny. I almost can’t put it into words! It felt like summer camp with a bunch of brand new best friends. The activities are fun and doable for any skill level. The mindfulness yoga and sound baths are such a nice touch to remind us to slow down and embrace quiet moments. The sobriety workshops were equal parts powerful, emotional and laughter-filled. Our itinerary was just the right amount of full — I never felt rushed like we had too much to do or that I didn’t have enough alone or downtime. Laura and Sara did such a great job hosting ELEVEN ladies while still joining us as participants and friends. I truthfully feel reset after the Lake Tahoe adventure and am so excited to have a brand new support group post-retreat.

Worth Every Penny!

I had a lot of doubt signing up for this as I was scared to do something different and was a little hesitant about spending the money. However, this exceeded my expectations and was beyond worth pushing myself out of my comfort zone and spending every penny! The group of women I was with fell into an easy rhythm of authenticity and honesty. One of my hopes was to make more sober connections and this retreat really supported that endeavor. There's just something that feels different and right with being surrounding by likeminded people and folks who have been through a relatable experience such as getting sober. Although everyone comes from a different background and journey to sobriety, we all had that connection, and it was evident from the very beginning. Additionally, the surroundings and Lake Tahoe were so amazing I cannot put into words! If you're feeling on the fence, just know you won't regret doing something special for yourself, the breath-taking scenery and ability to get out and enjoy it with some badass sober Chicas!

So grateful for this clearly carefully curated experience!

The retreat was honestly life-changing. Before the gathering I was feeling pretty solo in my journey and isolating myself. Finding community that weekend helped me build curiosity and courage to connect with folks. The retreat was incredibly meaningful - and also super FUN! A great mix of healing and deep conversations with light-hearted belly laughs. I felt really cared for by Laura and her team, and the food was INCREDIBLE. Loved Tahoe and the adventures - and the people I got to experience the weekend with. I'm so grateful tor this very clearly carefully curated experience - and 100% would do it again. So. Much. Gratitude. Laura and her team knocked it out of the park.

100% nourishment for my soul!

I remember finalizing my booking thinking “Am I really doing this? Planning a trip to meet a handful of sober strangers in a place I’ve never been?” I was so nervous. But from the moment I arrived until the last few moments we spent together, it was magic and 100% nourishment for my soul. Laura has an incredible gift of making people feel welcome and totally at home in her presence. Before I knew it, we were laughing and sipping mocktails and sharing our personal journeys and creating inside jokes and catch phrases. We ate delicious food and saw breathtaking scenery and recharged ourselves amongst likeminded people who really spoke and understood our experiences in sobriety. What I thought would be a quick and pleasant adventure turned into a memory I will cherish for a lifetime. RUN DON’T WALK at the chance to join a SoberPal Retreat with Laura. I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the physical requirements?

This retreat is considered active.

Day 2 includes an optional 3-mile hike with 800 ft of elevation gain, and the property itself sits on a steep hill. Translation: you'll be climbing lots of stairs—like, stairs to your cabin, stairs to the beach, stairs to meeting spaces, stairs to the café… stairs to enlightenment.

You’ll also be at 6,200 ft elevation, so if you're coming from low elevation, expect to feel a little more winded than usual. Totally normal!

Do I have to participate in every activity?

Definitely not! If there's a day you prefer to stay back and relax, that's totally cool! Our cabins are nestled on a property with access to the lake, a beach, lots of shoreline, a cozy cafe, and more!

What do I need to bring?

If your application is accepted, we'll be sure to send you a detailed packing list! You'll also be invited to a private IG chat for this retreat where you can connect and coordinate with the other retreaters (and stay in touch afterwards!)

Otherwise, we recommend bringing big smiles, open hearts, and your best dad jokes.

How sober do I have to be?

While we welcome women at all stages of their journey with alcohol, it’s important to note that the retreat environment centers around open and vulnerable conversations about sobriety and personal growth.

If you are sober-curious or early in your journey, we ask that you reflect on whether you are ready to engage in a supportive, safe space where sobriety is a shared commitment among participants and openly discussed.

Most importantly, we seek to create a safe and respectful environment where everyone feels supported in their unique path in sobriety.
